Ingredients

Rice ada
12 pieces
Jaggery, powdered
1/4 cup
Coconut, grated (for milk)
1/2 part
Coconut, small pieces
1 tsp
Cashew, fried
6 pieces
Elachi (cardoman), powdered
1/8 tsp

Method

Ada

  • Take ribbon Ada add boil it for 15 min. or till it becomes tender.
  • Drain the water
  • Wash it with cold water
  • Drain water completely – Keep aside

Coconut Milk

  • Add little water to grated coconut and grind it nicely.
  • Take the above and squeeze the first milk.
  • Add little more water and grind again to get the second milk.

Note: To extract coconut milk, squeeze it on sieve.

Jaggery Syrup

  • Add water to the powdered jaggery completely.
  • Boil the above until it forms syrup.
  • Filter the syrup to remove impurities.
  • Again boil the filtered syrup for 5 min.

Adapradhaman

  • Add the Ada to the jaggery syrup and stir for 5 min.
  • Add thin milk.
  • Cook till the above mixture gets thicker.
  • Add ghee and thick milk.
  • Add the fried cashew nut, coconut pieces and cardamon.
