Ingredients
Rice ada
12 pieces
Jaggery, powdered
1/4 cup
Coconut, grated (for milk)
1/2 part
Coconut, small pieces
1 tsp
Cashew, fried
6 pieces
Elachi (cardoman), powdered
1/8 tsp
Method
Ada
- Take ribbon Ada add boil it for 15 min. or till it becomes tender.
- Drain the water
- Wash it with cold water
- Drain water completely – Keep aside
Coconut Milk
- Add little water to grated coconut and grind it nicely.
- Take the above and squeeze the first milk.
- Add little more water and grind again to get the second milk.
Note: To extract coconut milk, squeeze it on sieve.
Jaggery Syrup
- Add water to the powdered jaggery completely.
- Boil the above until it forms syrup.
- Filter the syrup to remove impurities.
- Again boil the filtered syrup for 5 min.
Adapradhaman
- Add the Ada to the jaggery syrup and stir for 5 min.
- Add thin milk.
- Cook till the above mixture gets thicker.
- Add ghee and thick milk.
- Add the fried cashew nut, coconut pieces and cardamon.
Yummy Adapradhaman is ready to serve and eat 🙂
